In a world where multitasking is the norm, smartly designed lighting is key for the success of any interior. And today, our tasks are as varied as the lives we lead. We work from home more than ever.  So, we work in kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, and even bathrooms. We move workspaces as often as our schedules change. And the task at hand can toggle from work to play and back to work.  Therefore, we shift as fluidly as we swipe from one app to the next.

This means task lighting should no longer be just a functional lamp, which sits on a desk. Barry Goralnick and Currey & Co. believe it should look different (and better), too.

By blending inspirations from Industrial Style with more glamorous motifs, details, and finishes from a variety of periods, Barry Goralnick created a collection of lighting that goes beyond the task at hand. Individual pieces may evoke feelings from other styles, but no single era of design except the present defines this new line of lighting.
